Colleen's Tote Bag

I made this little handbag for Colleen, my step mother in law, or one of my three wonderful moms! The fabric is a batik that I picked up from Hancock during a sale. I was going to make a skirt out of it, but once we laid it out we realized that the stripes would go every which way and that it would look terrible. Boy am I glad I made it into a purse! I made it during sewing club at aunt Susan's house, where she had the amazing red button to seal it. I still have lots of this fabric left, so I may end up making her a bigger bag because my guess is she'll need the space, especially since I found a kitchen sink in hers yesterday!

Turtle Birthday Card

This is a birthday card I made for my grandfather's birthday. I used Stampin' Up kraft card stock and whisper white. The paisley paper and green paper are both from the To the Nines Specialty textured card stock. The stamp set is Natures Nest and Happy Birthday is from an old retired set my friend Laurie gave me. The ribbon is Chocolate chip Taffeta ribbon. I used the water color pencils to color Mr. Turtle and then a blender pen over the top to blend all the colors. Thanks for looking!
